We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Officer for Leuven, Belgium.
You will be responsible to coordinate and take ownership of assigned quality event tasks within the quality system for our Leuven manufacturing location. You will collaborate with employees from various (manufacturing) departments. You will join a small, young and enthusiastic local QA team and will work with peers from IDT facilities around the world.
This position is a combination of offsite and onsite work at IDT Leuven (flexible schedule, approx. 70% remote possible).
Job Specific Essential Functions:
Coordinate parts of the Quality System (applicable standards ISO 9001 and ISO 13485) and our internal systems in regards to:
Nonconformance (internal/external), deviation & management of change reports and follow-up on actions, when necessary.
Corrective and preventive actions
Perform internal audits and help prepare external audits.
Communicate and troubleshoot issues in regards to the above in collaboration with colleagues at other IDT facilities.
Help with communication/awareness of Quality within the company.
Support the company's training & document management system.
Assist QMS management with various Quality related tasks or perform other duties as specified by QMS management.
Report any problems to QMS management.
Treat information acquired during execution of job functions as strictly confidential.
Be aware of IDT's policy/objectives on and contribute to the quality and environmental management system by adhering to the requirements of the ISO 9001, ISO 13485 & ISO 14001 standard and internal procedures and work instructions.
Education, experience & skills:
At least a Bachelor's degree, preferably in a Science related field
First Job experience in a Quality Assurance/ISO related field would be a plus
Experience with ISO standards (preferably ISO 9001/ISO 13485) and/or quality systems is highly preferred.
Critcal mind set and eye for detail when documenting information and processing information provided by others.
Capable of making administrative/procedural decisions and judgements.
Punctual, focused and maintain a high level of organization.
Excellent computer skills which would include knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Experience with Quality System software is an advantage.
